Everyday we work to empower your child. Together we work to build and develop their self-esteem through consistent encouragement, motivating them to do their best and achieve their fullest potential.

We believe children learn and grow from actively engaging in subjects. To support this development we passionately captivate students with a wide array of programming.

Infants

Everyday experiences help shape and develop your baby’s brain. Our infant room is staffed with three wonderful teachers who have been with us for 14 years or longer. They understand how important a consistent, warm and nurturing environment is for the healthy development of your infant’s brain. Our infant room has a maximum capacity of 10 babies and is divided into a play and sleep area which allows for the individual child’s sleep schedule. We foster development through exploration of visual, sensory and motor skills helping to stimulate brain development. Our infants enjoy stories, music and outdoor time to develop and grow. We also offer programming encouraging sign language, which teaches symbolic gestures with flash cards to enhance verbal interactions. Infants in our program form healthy attachments in a loving enriched environment.

Toddlers

Loving, consistent, positive relationships help build healthy brains and protect your toddler’s from the negative effects of stress. Our toddlers learn through their environment. We focus on developing the child as a whole and our programming includes language, cognitive, social/emotional and physical activities and exploration. We incorporate math, reading, motor skills, science, sensory, dramatic play and outdoor time. The toddlers engage in age- appropriate activities developing the children’s social skills, fostering self-help skills and encouraging independence. They learn to freely explore in an environment that provides activities for all developmental domains. We offer a fun sign language component which uses symbolic gestures with flash cards to enhance verbal interactions with our toddlers, teaching them concrete concepts, especially nouns. Our toddler room is an active, fun arena with teachers that know they play an integral role in the lives of the children entrusted to our care!

Preschool

Our preschool classes are each capped at 16 children and 2 staff, a ratio mix that works to promote greater engagement between staff and children. Preschoolers at Kinder Kampus learn through the four foundations of how learning happens—belonging, engagement, expression and well-being. They learn to recognize primary colours, shapes, numbers, the alphabet as well as phonetic sounds. They focus on achieving milestones such as self-help skills including toileting, eating independently with a spoon and fork and dressing. They learn to problem solve. They learn by recognizing and expressing emotions and through cognitive development. They work on printing and writing skills through a variety of activities. We work with the child’s individual needs to help them reach new goals in an inclusive learning environment where teachers are ever present to help build on a child’s interest in any given area, thereby broadening the scope of learning.

Kindergarten and
Before and After School Programs

We understand that working parents require before and after school care that is reliable and that offers transportation to and from each child’s day school. Our Before and After school program does just that! Except for Statutory Holidays, we are open every day of the year so you have the added benefit of knowing that on PD days, snow days and school holidays, your child is able to attend full days with us.

We aim to complement rather than duplicate in-school learning. Our program prioritizes FUN, ensuring that children feel welcome, valued, included and safe! We work to actively engage kids and provide inquiry and skill- based experiences that encourage their expanding development. We use all inclusive, non-biased materials representing a range of abilities, cultures and communities. We work to create a space in which children can embrace their personal sense of accomplishment and pride. We love to create masterpieces be it tie-dyed t-shirts, pinatas or even masks!

Our staff’s collective experience and love for the children entrusted to us is a given! They understand the many needs and critical milestones in a school ager’s life. They model pro-social behaviours and conflict resolution skills! They also help with homework!

Nutrition

Good food fuels the mind and body. This is why we offer our students nutritious meals and snacks. Following the Canadian Food Guide and inline with ministry requirements, we work with a nutritionist and chef to ensure our students are well prepared to be at their best. We are a nut and peanut-free environment and are happy to help facilitate any dietary restrictions, intolerances or other requirements.

Diversity

At Kinder Kampus we are proud of our diversity. Everyone is unique and special. We believe embracing our differences and developing an inclusive environment is fundamental in developing positive, respectful and tolerant children. Fostering a diverse environment not only helps children feel good about themselves, their families and their communities, but also has the benefit of exposing children to differences, things that are unfamiliar and experiences beyond their immediate lives.
